A Project Manager rarely calculates the schedule network by hand in complex projects. For this workshop, you will use the structured WBS data from Project Zaphyr to model the schedule in professional software, dynamically discovering the total duration and the Critical Path.

Open MS Project, ProjectLibre, or Smartsheet and complete the following instructions using the table above. You have 30 minutes.
  • Paso 1: Configurar el proyecto para que las tareas se programen Automáticamente (Auto Scheduled).Step 1: Configure the project so tasks are Auto Scheduled.
  • Paso 2: Ingresar el nombre de todas las actividades y asignarles su duración en días.Step 2: Enter the name of all activities and assign their duration in days.
  • Paso 3: Vincular las tareas ingresando los IDs en la columna de "Predecesoras" (Relación Fin a Inicio).Step 3: Link the tasks by entering the IDs in the "Predecessors" column (Finish-to-Start relationship).
  • Paso 4: Habilitar la vista de "Tareas Críticas" en su Diagrama de Gantt.Step 4: Enable the "Critical Tasks" view in your Gantt Chart.
  • Paso 5: Determinen la Duración Total del Proyecto y anoten qué actividades conforman la Ruta Crítica.Step 5: Determine the Total Project Duration and note down which activities make up the Critical Path.
