This entire workshop corresponds to CHALLENGE-Activity 5 (Progress Report 2) and is the same as M3-Activity 5. The team submits a single file to Canvas, under either one (it is submitted only once), and presents in class. It includes the test plan and sessions, the Feedback Capture Grid, 2 to 3 iterations, the infographic or process summary with images and feedback, photos of the teamwork, and the individual contribution.

🎙️

This workshop is done with people and with your own model. The log carries the time of every quote, the "verification words" are dictated by the professor during the session, and the iteration figures come from your model. The page cross-checks them and warns you if something does not match. You may use AI to polish a text if you declare it in Stage 6; you may not use it to invent users, quotes, or results.

Before handing the prototype to the user, the host says: "Look, you open it by pulling the tab; it's very easy." Which rule is broken?
An observer sees the user trying to open it from the wrong side and says: "No, it's the other side." Which rule is broken?
Which of these team questions is leading (it carries the answer)?
¿En qué cuadrante de la malla va?A user says: "Put an arrow on the tab." Which grid quadrant does it belong to?
Problem A: 2 of 2 users hit it and it prevented them from completing the task (F = 2, S = 3). Problem B: 1 user hit it and it was a minor annoyance (F = 1, S = 1). Which is iterated first?
A team changed the closure, the color, and the size in a single version, and the time to open dropped from 70 s to 18 s. What is the method problem?

Plan de Prueba y EnsayoTest Plan and Rehearsal

Hipótesis, tareas, preguntas, roles y un ensayo con otro equipoHypothesis, tasks, questions, roles, and a rehearsal with another team

+25 XP

2.1HipótesisHypothesis 4 min

Write it in the form "We believe that… / We will know we are wrong if…". The second sentence must be observable in the session.

2.2Tareas y métricasTasks and metrics 6 min

A task is something the person does; it is not a question.

Example task (without clues): "With this drawing, show me how you would place the piece in a wall and where a rebar would go." Use your piece's terms, not your theory's.

Example task (without clues): "Read these rules for one minute and then play a round." Measure how long it takes for the first correct move.

For each task you will measure the same things live: success (yes/no), seconds, and number of hesitations or errors.

2.3Preguntas de seguimientoFollow-up questions 4 min

Abiertas y neutrales. Se hacen después de observar, no antes.Open and neutral. They are asked after observing, not before.

2.4RolesRoles 3 min

The Session 2 Host must be different from the Session 1 Host.

Who can be a user: a person who is not on your team and who has not seen the design. Session 1 is done with a member of another team (the professor sets the team pairs); Session 2 can be with another person in the room or an outsider (in Option A, someone who knows construction is worth more). Each session lasts about 12 minutes; then 6 to capture.

How to use the log: the timekeeper presses ▶ when the user starts the first task and, with every event, picks the type, writes what happened (quotes, verbatim) and presses "Mark". The page stores the exact time. What was not marked live cannot be added later with a time.

Usen el formato: [U1 01:31] "frase textual". Una idea por línea.Use the format: [U1 01:31] "verbatim quote".

Each row of your log has buttons to send it to a quadrant with its [U# time] tag. You can also type directly in the quadrants.

4.2La mallaThe grid 8 min

G/S = gravedad: 1 molestia menor, 2 confunde o retrasa, 3 impide terminar. La página calcula F × G y el lugar.F = how many users hit it (count the tags). G/S = severity: 1 minor annoyance, 2 confuses or delays, 3 prevents finishing. The page calculates F × S and the rank.

Iteraciones del Modelo DigitalDigital Model Iterations

De 2 a 3 cambios, cada uno ligado a una frase de su bitácora y medido otra vez2 to 3 changes, each tied to a quote from your log and measured again

+35 XP

Rules for each iteration: (1) it attacks a problem from your priority table, starting with the highest priority; (2) it rests on a verbatim quote with its tag, which the page looks up in your log; (3) it is a single change; (4) the same task is measured again with another person who has not seen the previous version; (5) a before screenshot and an after screenshot are saved.

If an iteration makes the result worse, document that too: it is a finding. Stage 3 is your "before" and the new measurement is your "after".
