Plan de Respuesta a Riesgos Risk Response Plan

Estrategias y Tácticas de Acción Action Strategies and Tactics

We have identified the risks and calculated how much money we need (EMV). In Process 11.5 (Plan Risk Responses), we decide exactly what to do with that money and effort. The goal is to reduce the probability or impact of Threats, and increase the probability or impact of Opportunities. For a plan to work, a Risk Owner must be assigned who will be responsible for executing the strategy.

The Contingency Plan is the primary action executed only when a risk materializes (e.g., Using water pumps if it rains). The Fallback Plan is your "Plan C"; used if the Contingency Plan fails (e.g., Moving operations to another building because the pumps weren't enough).

Estrategias de Respuesta (PMI) Response Strategies (PMI)

🔻 Para Amenazas (Riesgos Negativos)For Threats (Negative Risks)

  • 1. Evitar (Avoid)1. Avoid

Eliminate the threat entirely, usually by changing the plan, reducing scope, or changing vendors.

  • 2. Mitigar (Mitigate)2. Mitigate

Capacitar más al personal, poner extintores).Take early action to reduce probability or impact (e.g., More staff training, placing fire extinguishers).

  • 3. Transferir (Transfer)3. Transfer

Pasar el impacto financiero a un tercero. (Ej. Shift the financial impact to a third party. (e.g., Buying insurance policies or bonds). The risk remains, but someone else pays.

  • 4. Aceptar (Accept)4. Accept

Reconocer el riesgo y no tomar acción proactiva. Aceptación activa = dejar Reserva de Contingencia. Aceptación pasiva = no hacer nada.Acknowledge the risk and take no proactive action. Active acceptance = leaving Contingency Reserve. Passive acceptance = doing nothing.

  • 5. Escalar (Escalate)5. Escalate

If the risk is outside the PM's authority, it is notified to management.

🚀 Para Oportunidades (Riesgos Positivos)For Opportunities (Positive Risks)

  • 1. Explotar (Exploit)1. Exploit

Asignar a tus mejores ingenieros para terminar antes y cobrar el bono).Ensure 100% that the opportunity happens (e.g., Assigning your best engineers to finish early and get the bonus).

  • 2. Potenciar / Mejorar (Enhance)2. Enhance

Añadir más recursos a una tarea para intentar acabarla antes).Increase the probability or positive impact (e.g., Adding more resources to a task to try finishing it earlier).

  • 3. Compartir (Share)3. Share

Formar un Joint Venture, asociaciones).Partnering with an expert third party to capture the opportunity together (e.g., Forming a Joint Venture, partnerships).

  • 4. Aceptar (Accept)4. Accept

Being willing to take advantage of it if it happens, but not spending effort actively seeking it.

  • 5. Escalar (Escalate)5. Escalate

Just like threats, it is elevated if the PM lacks authority.
