When a project needs to procure services from a third party (Procurement), the contract type defines who bears the financial loss if things go wrong (The Buyer = Your Project, The Seller = The Vendor).

Al final de cada fase, el proyecto enfrenta un punto de revisión crítico: A Project Phase is a collection of logically related project activities that culminates in the completion of one or more deliverables (e.g., The Design phase ends with blueprints). At the end of each phase, the project faces a critical review point:
At the end of a phase, the Sponsor and Management evaluate performance and the Business Case. A high-level financial decision is made here: Continue to the next phase, Continue with modification, or End ("Kill") the project.
Exam Trap! Process Groups are NOT Phases. The 5 process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring, and Closing) repeat themselves within every single phase mentioned above.
